Hi guys and God bless, here's a little narrative of finding and trusting the companionship of YESHUA- JESUS the MESSIAH through these end times.
A COMELY SUITOR AND HONORABLE COURTSHIP
(Revelation 21 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.)
I met this Wonderful Man who is The Shepherd; humble, kind, considerate, sincere and so strong.
He is like nobody I have ever met because nobody is Him!
He had been knocking at my door for so long a time and when I opened to Him, He came in and sat down with me.
We shared supper and He spoke upon many things- from henceforth, He never left me.
He told me, if I'd put my trust in Him and give Him my heart, and keep my two eyes upon His Word, His alone, no harm, no night, no death would overcome me.
So, in trust, I declared Him my Lord and Saviour, whilst He told me that I was His Bride and He, the Bridegroom.
And truly, in a heartbeat, to this present day, He fights every one of my battles, gives me words of encouragement, dries my tears and stills my restless heart. The evils that had fought me, my whole life, tremble, crumble at His Feet- before perishing.
I love Him and entrust Him with my all... and bind His Word upon the tablet of my heart.
For everything He teaches me is new and full of wisdom. He shows me the shalom that comes from giving, patience and trusting His Word.
WHISPERING LIES OF THE OLD MAN
And yet, it... I am ashamed to admit, but it began of late, in the echo of His tarrying.
Memories of His cruel crucifixion, burial and the exuberant joy of His resurrection, flit in and out of my mind.
And yes, I know- I believe He is alive and well, though many doubters say there was no resurrection. They say it is a myth, that He is dead and not with His Father in the New Kingdom, preparing royal homes for His followers, whom He refers to as joint heirs.
(John 14 1-6 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through Me.
Romans 8 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.)
His Word reassures me that He will return, soon, for me and for all of His followers that believe He is I AM; the Creator and Only Begotten Son.
Though, perhaps because I recently missed a day or a season of communication with the Word, I began to remember the things of my past- the people, the me; the Old Man of my past.
(Colossians 3 5-10 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,)
Soon, I let my patience, in my wait for His return wane until, the wiles of that lying Snake overtook me- leaving me guilty, ashamed at my adultery, my sin and betrayal of the covenant of love formed with my Wonderful Man.
I cried out for forgiveness, my contribution of sin like soot in my stomach. The Helper came and strengthened me, washed me white as snow and so I continued in my wait for the return of the King.
(1 John 1 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.)
THE KING'S PROMISE AND THE COUNTERFEIT
To this day He still tarries, though the Helper duly reminds me and His followers that the time of great deceit has begun and must take place before His return.
Magnificent lies will only grow; thus, right will be deemed wrong and wrong right. Many of His followers are already falling away from the Truth, accepting the worldly doctrines of this age. Some are even incorporating ancestral traditions and ungodly beliefs and practices... but the Truth is the Truth; it changes not and will never lose its Light.
His promise still stands, that He will snatch me and his followers away to safety, far away from the period of trial and the age of the Liar.
(2 Thessalonians 2 1-10 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
Revelation 3 10-12 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.)
